1- How good are you?
If you are just a beginner who knows only a little bit about the field It is really hard to make alot of money at the beginning unless you are really good because the graphic design field is really concentrated or you can make really cheap work starting at 5$ for example just to practice.
But, on the other hand if you are a really good professional graphic designer you can make up to 10,000$ on just one design it, but you have to find the right client.
2- How much work do you receive?
If designer recieves weekly projects for 300$ per week he is going to make much more money than a designer who gets a one time project in a year for 10,000$
3- Do you work in an agency or as a freelancer?
If you are working in an agency it depends on your salary.The average salary in the united states is about 49,000$. On the other hand if you are a freelancer, money will not be consistent you need to either have high rates with professional work or low rates with alot of work.
4- Do you value your work properly?
If a professional designer rates his work at 5$ on fiverr that is wasting time and money and everything you are going to spend alot of time and money for only 5$ that is not logical in this case time equals money
